In 2014, Chris started Schwab Risk Strategies, L.L.C., and focuses on designing risk strategies that empower leaders and improve results. Chris has a passion for helping leaders and their teams improve their analysis of risk-return and, most importantly, improve their communication of risk-return throughout their organizations.

Chris has twenty years experience in a variety of commercial, risk and compliance management and legal leadership roles. She was formerly the Chief Risk Officer of Dominion, a Fortune 150 energy company. While serving in that role, she also held successive roles as Vice President-Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestitures, Vice President – Business Development, Vice President – Regulatory Compliance, and Vice President – Chief Compliance Officer. Before joining Dominion, Chris was a corporate transactional attorney at McGuireWoods. This background and experience give her the commercial, financial and legal expertise necessary to design risk processes and strategies that empower leaders and improve results.

Chris graduated Magna cum Laude with a degree in economics from the University of Pittsburgh. She graduated Magna cum Laude and Order of the Coif with a law degree from the University of Pittsburgh. She has also completed the University of Chicago’s Executive Management Institute and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Course in Reactor Technology for Utility Executives.
